Acronis True Image Home 2010
I own Norton Ghost®, Drive Image and now Acronis. There is absolutely no comparison. Acronis wins hands down. It is fast, reliable, works in Windows and can backup to a wide range of media, including DVD. Initially it seemed too good to be true, but over the last year I have used it in lieu of my backup programs, in migrating from an IDE hard drive to a RAID zero system. I am now fearless in messing with my computer since I have full confidence in my ability to turn back the clock. I have convinced many friends to switch to it and their response is the same as mine. Unfortunately, it is not as well known in the U. S. as the vastly inferior Drive Image and the even poorer Norton Ghost®. Thanks for a great program.

I have been a Symantec Norton Ghost® user for many years and thought that their software was as good as it gets that is until today. I installed Acronis True Image 6.0 and to my surprise, it was so simple to image my drive onto CD-R/W discs and restore the image back to my PC. Outstanding job and so easy while performing all its imaging while still in Windows! And no more booting into DOS just to restore an image Acronis True Image 6.0 will be my choice of software for a long time to come.

I think your product is great! I am amazed that it can image a server from Windows and the boot CD is simply amazing. We spent months trying to get Ghost to work with the NIC in the new HP Proliant DL360 G2. Your boot CD auto-detected it in seconds!

I have used Ghost 2003 for my backups but always had problems with some of my 8 (!) computers. A few days ago I bought a Maxtor 80 Gb ext USB 1.1/2.0 hard drive. After wrestling for hours with downloads from Ghost and installing extra drivers from Ghost I finally got it to work on one computer. (Ghost works ok here most of the time, with partitions on the internal C: drive but last week one of my laptops lost the HD and of course the Ghost backup). Ghost will not work with my old USB1 L10/10 Gb external hard drive. After spending a few hours on google trying to find an answer, and reading Ghost horror stories, I came across Acronis True Image 6.0. After spending an other hour looking at reviews of that software I downloaded the Acronis software and put it on a cd. They have a special for $9.00 for users of Ghost!!! Now get this! That software works on All of my computers and even the 4 year old USB 1 ,yes 1 not 1,1 ext hard drive. And it does it in Windows. It is however not very fast but that is a minor trade off for me. The slow speed could be caused by my use of USB 1.1. I use XP, 98 SE, 2K. The recovery CD or 5 floppies will work on any computer or operating system or No operating system at all! So unlike Ghost you only need one recovery cd. Look at the reviews in google, for $9.00 finally something that works! (At last for me)

This is the first time Ive ever written to a company to praise them on a product I have purchased, but in this case I felt the need to do just that. I own a small Video Production Company with three server type computers. Each has over 800 Gb of video RAID storage. Over the past three weeks Ive been trying to get three editing systems with new motherboards and hard drives back on line so I could do work again. I had Norton Ghost 2003® and Powerquest DriveImage 7 to Image the old drives to the new larger drives. For three weekends now Ive gone through the process with each software on each system of updating the OS drives with nothing but error messages, boot problems and crashes. Each computer had different brand or model hard drives, but all had the same new motherboards. I had written to both companies tech support staff and tried the fizboot, Windows XP Recovery CDs; DriveImage was tried with the copy drive feature and the image feature. In each case the software would create the image fine. The only problem was my computer wasnt able to read it. I mean everything had been tried and only one of the three systems was even able to boot after all this. I was angry at myself mostly for tearing down all three systems at the same time, but I had done this before only new OS were installed on each. This time was different because I have hundreds of programs installed into the OS and wanted to image the old HDD to the new. Sounded simple enough. I decided to search the web for possible third imaging software, even though I thought the problems were some little things wrong with equipment compatibility for each of the systems. I then came across Acronis True Image 6.0 and Acronis Migrate Easy 6.0 (with Acronis Power Utilities). I purchased both and tried Acronis Migrate Easy on each system to transfer the OS to each new Drive. Within forty-five minutes, all three systems were up and running again with no boot problems, no crashes and no errors. There was nothing wrong with the compatibility of my equipment and nothing wrong with the install or partitioning of my drives. The problem was the Imaging software I was using!! After dealing with Norton and Powerquest about their products and being made to feel like an idiot, all of the extremely tedious work and headaches, I had to write to you and praise Acronis for the fantastic products that actually "work as advertised" with no pain, and a manual that explains everything perfectly. Great Job! I will be an Acronis user from now on! The software seems to be written and tested (for Windows XP) so well, Im looking into purchasing everything you have. Thank You for getting my Company back Up and running again so easily!
