Configuration Management

With its configuration management system, Acronis^® Snap Deploy^® 3 for Server ensures smooth deployment and systems’ maintenance. Acronis^® Snap Deploy^® 3 for Server enables you to deploy images on servers and on workstations, PCs and laptops.

In the description below, you can swap out the term "server" for "PC" if you plan to deploy Windows XP or Vista using Acronis^® Snap Deploy^® 3 for Server

• Pre-deployment tools
  • Acronis offers easy technique to help you deploy an imaged system in no time.
  • Creating a server image of selected partitions or the entire hard disk drive, save the image to:
    • a hard disk drive
    • a network drive
    • a removable storage device
  • You are recommended to compress your image for faster performance: choose from any of the four compression levels.
  • Your target systems should have a username and a password, which will ensure your privacy.
  • Assign names to servers - wild cards will help you generate unique names. Also, assign domain or workgroup membership of servers.
  • Automatically or manually specify Internet protocol (IP) settings, and assign DNS server properties.
  • You are also allowed to change Security identifier (SID) as well as edit and discard server configurations.

  • To maintain your system properly, take advantage of the options Acronis embedded in its powerful tool:
  • Manage files on remote systems by creating and editing files/folders
  • Execute applications on remote servers by scheduling tasks
